Diversity Equity Inclusion Group

A Way Of Being In The World

None of us is whole without the other.

MISSION: Engage storytelling communication dynamics to create a safe environment, and to reimagine and implement sustainable change in the workplace and society.

Our Core Values

  • Integrity
  • Trustworthiness
  • Ethics
  • Respect
  • Accountability

Diversity

The equal participation of all human groups representing the spectrum of ethnicity, cultural background, nationality, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, age, social class, physical abilities or attributes, religious or ethical values system, national origin, and political beliefs.

Equity

Equal and fair treatment of all participants regardless of their status as represented by any of the diversity descriptions, allowing impartial, unbiased access to opportunities for excellence, achievement, and success.

Inclusion

The intentional, ongoing effort to ensure that diverse individuals fully participate in all decision-making aspects of society.

We Believe

That there is a story already there in our lived experience, or in the shared experiences of others, that provides a roadmap to a changed, more awakened future. The ability to discover and interpret this map can guide our direction, actions, and outcomes in powerful ways. The story requires a safe space to be told and heard. The telling and the hearing allow us to honor our most urgent, essential truths. The process also makes one thing clear: in the quest for change, the time to act is always now. This empowerment through storytelling is the collective reward in our practice experience with you as an individual, organization, or community.

Principles and Antenarrative Processes

Truth:

You yourself must be true and prepare the energy and effort for a sustainable future

Make room:

True storytelling makes spaces respecting the stories already there

Plot:

You must create stories with a clear plot creating direction and help people prioritize

Timing:

You must have timing

Help stories along:

You must be able to help stories on their way and be open to experiment

Staging:

You must consider staging including scenography and artifacts

Reflecting:

You must reflect on the stories and how they create value
